We often get asked is it possible to change the size of the TouchIT Rapide On Screen Keyboard. The answer is yes, you can and in this short blog post I am going to show you just how to do it.
The Default Keyboard
One could argue (and I may have to agree) that the default keyboard is a little large on the screen. In this short blog post I will show you how to get from the image below, to the much smaller keyboard shown underneath.
This is the default keyboard and you can see that it is taking up roughly half the screen.
Here we have a keyboard that is about 50% smaller than the default keyboard. Let’s take a look at what we need to do to change this.
How to Change the Size of the Rapide Keyboard
From the Home Screen, you are going to choose “More Apps“, and then you are going to choose “Settings“. From Settings, you need to swipe from right to left to take yourself onto the second page. Then, choose the “Input” option and then select the “Swift keyboard” from the menu. You can now press the back arrow and then swipe up and press “home“. When you next select a keyboard it will be a much smaller one.
There are also a number of options that you can play with in the settings. You will see some of these in the short video below. You can make it really small, split it for right and left hand typing (if you have long arms on the LED) There are also options for autocorrect and the like. Have a play, there is plenty to customise.
