We need to open the Crisis Management section of the portal by clicking on this icon.
We’ve already learnt that Crisis Management is the feature that we hope you will never have to use. This is the ability to send crisis warning messages to individual devices, groups, or all devices at the touch of a button. A siren is played along with either the pre-defined warning such as “Fire Drill” for example or you are also able to send a custom message out to your devices.
As long as you have a playback device connected to your Online Portal, you can send a Crisis Management message to it.
For this example, we are going to select a single device, which is the device that you added in this training course. We are then going to choose the Fire Alarm template. We are then going to click on send. Remember that thee is an audible alarm with the Crisis Management message so make sure your LED or TV is not up too loud! You will see the message in the table below.
We can see what message has been sent to whom and when it was sent. Please note, in order to stop the alarm and remove the message you need to delete the message. You do that by clicking on the trash can icon.
Go Ahead and have a play with the Crisis Management feature. Try different messages, try sending them from your cell phone for example. Also try sending a custom message as you are able to enter your own text to send.
